Golden Age Management Group Programs and Events

Updated: Sep 4, 2023

Learn about the various age-friendly activities that target overall health and well-being throughout the month of August. The following items are facilitated by Golden Age Management owner, Michelle Jamieson.

Yoga Class: Rest and Restore

Experience physical, mental & emotional peace in this slow paced restorative yoga class. The first half of the class you will be guided through a meditation journey where you will better understand the value of "Pausing." Expect to leave feeling a sense of motionlessness and shapelessness as you empty the mind and calm the body.

Registered Yoga Teacher, Michelle, offers a restorative yoga class at Sacred Spaces in Brantford every other Friday night from 7:00 - 8:00 pm. Sacred Spaces Brantford is a wellness center, offering massage therapy and yoga classes. The yoga studio offers classes daily for ANY BODY. You can sign up for the Rest and Restore class here.

Healthy Aging Passport: Yoga Café

The Healthy Aging Passport is a great opportunity for adults 55 years and over to try a wide variety of FREE activities offered by local community partners. Activate your mind, body and spirit with a 1-hour yoga class followed by 1-hour social café in a beginner-level and age-friendly environment. The rhythmic breathing exercises and blood pumping poses provide the energy needed to engage in the subsequent games and activities during the social café.

Yoga Retreat: Zen Designs Body Art

Enjoy a day of yoga, breathwork, meditation, journaling, lunch, sound bathing, Zen body art, nature walks, and more at this full-day retreat hosted at Purple Haven Lavender Farm.

A group of talented and passionate women have curated this event in support of community, and wellness.

Golden Age Management Owner, Michelle, offers meditative body art through a temporary tattooing ink called Ink Box. Her mindful artwork honours the body and ageless spirit by reminding us of the impermanence of all sensations.

This retreat takes place on Saturday, August 19 from 9:30am - 3:30pm. Spots are limited, so please contact thebalancedbirch@gmail.com or call 647-226-9067 for more information
